Data Systems of Texas is a leading provider of software for the credit union industry. We are currently hiring for our Support Analyst position in our Waco office.
We are seeking a professional, service-driven analyst who will ultimately support our credit union software package. The ability to troubleshoot, think analytically, be organized, meet deadlines, and communicate with customers is extremely important.
Job Description: Business analysis and customer support in a call center environment to users that have limited computer experience including; first level software/hardware support, coding and parameter setup on customer systems, customer training and other work assigned as part of a project team.
Requirements: (list is not all inclusive)
- Work experience in or with credit union or financial service information systems and operations required.
- Experience in a helpdesk/call center environment
- Background in analysis and research, system conversions, implementation of projects, documentation and requirements gathering
- Close interaction with customers, programmers, and technical staff
- Provide effective communication, both written and verbal
- Customer Service skills and ability to be a team player a must.
- Customer training (web-based and on-site)
- System coding and controls within the credit union software for customers
- Management of support calls in helpdesk call software
- Problem-resolution, troubleshooting, and testing of customer issues
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems, relational database concepts, graphical user interface, terminal emulation, networks, and Microsoft Office products.
- Able to work independently in stressful situations and maintain scheduled task and timetables.
- Ability and willingness to travel is a must.
- High school diploma is required. BS /BA in computer science or accounting are a plus.

We are seeking a professional, service-driven programmer who will ultimately support our credit union software package. The software utilizes the Progress programming language. This position will support our existing customer base with software updates, resolve daily support issues and custom form programming. The ability to troubleshoot, think analytically, be organized, meet deadlines, and communicate with customers is extremely important.
Job Description: (list is not all inclusive)
- Perform Progress programming and software program maintenance
- Perform programming and support of customer forms
- Provide analysis, research, and responses to program issues and questions from internal support call center
- Locate and repair program bugs reported by Support staff/customers
- Work with LINUX/Windows operating platforms, terminal emulation, and other programming products
- Install and support peripheral products and/or add-on products
- Upgrade credit union data and software
- Upgrade databases on credit union servers from one operating system to another
- Complete Research and Development projects as assigned
- Progress V9
- Progress Database
- CHUI/ GUI Programming
- Red Hat Linux Enterprise 4
- Experience with other languages such as, C and/or Java is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Publisher and Adobe Acrobat Professional
